Whether you sail for fun, race occasionally, or are pursuing an Olympic campaign, our specialized one-design insurance program is designed to meet your unique needs as a sailor. This program is managed and underwritten by marine insurance professionals who understand the sailing and racing activities one-design sailors participate in at yacht clubs, sailing programs, and regattas throughout the year. 

Coverage options can be tailored to match your racing plans, regatta schedule, and liability requirements, with protection available for your boat, dolly, trailer, extra gear, multiple owners, and paid crew members. Our marine advisors are ready to help you secure the right protection, so you can stay focused on sailing and competition. 

One-Design Insurance Program Highlights – Wayfinder Yacht Program*  

• Racing is covered 
• Annual 12-month policy 
• Coverage options available for North American or Worldwide navigation 
• Third-party liability options of $300k, $500k, or $1 million available in North America and up to $2 million for waters outside North America 
• Option to add your sailing organization, yacht club, or marina as an “Additional Insured” 
• Optional coverage for chartering (when chartering to others or when chartering for your own use) 
• Optional coverage for dollies, trailers, extra masts, and multiple owners 
• Available to active one-design classes (see list below) 
• Program endorsed by US Sailing, with members eligible for a 10% discount 
• Multi-policy discount of 5% may be available
• Event Insurance for single events available with some restrictions 
  • Maximum $500k Liability Coverage 
  • Regattas in the continental United States only 
  • Coverage for trailers/dollies not available
