Find Your Voice by Being Heard
Through our DE&I efforts, we created the theme “BeHEARD” to unite and encourage dialogue and to ensure that every employee feels that they have a voice in the company. We believe that when we allow all of our voices to BeHEARD, we can create real change.
BeHEARD explores our diverse stories
Each month, we select a diversity, equity & inclusion theme and issue communications, employee spotlights, video panels, and host special events as part of the BeHEARD series. These communications raise awareness and celebrate our diverse cultures, traditions, and stories. Some of the topics we have explored through the BeHEARD series are:
- Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage
- Black History
- Hispanic/Latinx Heritage
- Pride / LGBTQ+
- Women’s History
- More topics such as mental health, disabilities, and breast cancer
In June 2022, we held a special BeHEARD event for Pride Month, with Dame Inga Beale, a distinguished insurance industry leader and ally of the LGBTQ+ community. Dame Inga shared her personal story of advocacy and allyship with employees.
The BeHEARD series is an important part of our DE&I efforts and has been embraced by employees across the Risk Strategies family.
