With more than 30 years of experience in the risk management, treasury and employee benefit fields, Mike is widely recognized for his expertise in merger and acquisition activity, state-of-the-art executive risk protection, and a creative approach to developing and negotiating risk management solutions.
He was formerly vice president, risk management and human resources for Fisher Scientific International Inc. Previous to that, Mike has worked with Abex, Inc., Aetna Realty Investors, Inc., Hubbell Incorporated, and The Hartford Insurance Group.
A past director and president of the Connecticut Chapter of the Risk Insurance Management Society, and of the FM Global Advisory Board, he holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Central Connecticut State College, and an M.B.A. degree from the University of New Haven.
With more than 20 years of extensive strategic and financial risk management experience, including at the MENTOR Network, where he directed the risk and insurance function for the nation’s largest public provider of human services ($1.5B), Tony specializes in operational and executive liability and protection, M&A due diligence, claims and risk financing.
Before MENTOR, Tony led risk and insurance efforts at Fisher Scientific International; Hubbell Incorporated; Barnes & Noble; and Time Warner. He was also CFO at DataRisk, a risk advisory firm which was acquired by Risk Strategies Company in 2013.
Tony earned an M.B.A. from the University of New Hampshire, graduating Beta Gamma Sigma, and a B.S. degree from Southern Connecticut State University. He holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations and is a member of the Professional Lines Underwriting Society, the CPCU Society, and Risk & Insurance Management Society
With more than 25 years of risk management, commercial insurance and operational experience, Rick has extensive background in manufacturing, mining, distribution, real estate fund and portfolio investment, and difficult risk, including nutraceuticals and medically related products.
A successful negotiator of integrated risk management and insurance structures that deliver superior coverage, pricing and claims management, he has expertise in acquisition and divestiture analysis, insurance program integration, having participated in excess of 400 transactions.
Having previously worked with Fisher Scientific International, Avery Dennison, Raytheon, Home Insurance, and Radio Shack, Rick earned his B.A. from Syracuse University, an operations and finance M.B.A. from Northeastern University and an Associate in Risk Management designation.
